Internet Addiction Becomng a Mental Illness?
Being hooked on to the web is something but being categorized as an illness is another. For sure, many of us who are exposed to the web invest large parts of our lives surfing, chatting or downloading stuff and a lot of it has to do with being too fascinated at what we can get from the web.
But some sectors are planning to categorize it as a mental illness which I personally think is an exaggeration of some points. You cannot control a person’s desire to be logged on if he sees a lot of potential on the web. It all boils down to the purpose of being online and that I feel is not a mental illness but a desire.
