The secret meetings of the many newspaper giants have been exposed in what may be the next step in the evolution of the newspaper into the modern wired world. Many see the move as about ten years too late and many see it as a simple way for these media giants to simply save their butts which has been on the line for a long time. They may have little choice for as we have seen, many newspapers have been forced to shut-down operations due to the economic crisis that is sweeping the nation. With many local and major newspapers under threat, would they be able to survive the internet age?
